George Floyd is not dead, as in forgotten in the minds of all the people who continue talking about and remembering him. George Floyd's death elevated him by making him a racial martyr. Historically, martyrs including racial martyrs are remembered indefinitely. Christianity began as a sect of Jewish followers who after Jesus' death, believed he was the Messiah. Today, Christianity is the religion with the most followers. With an estimated 2.3 billion of them worldwide.

To be honest, I neither had nor currently have expectations of these or any other folks who I do not personally know. And because I do not know anyone personally who engaged in George Floyd’s funeral arrangements, I cannot guess whether they were ignorant or thick folks. Since George Floyd was black, it is understandable that black folks would likely be more invested in his funeral proceedings.
