Great. Thanks for answering! So, in your opinion, the best newspaper is not based on a solid metric like qualifications or sales.

What about the standards in different industries, like healthcare? Would you agree with either of the following statements:

-The best doctors are the doctors who graduated with the best grades. A doctor with higher grades has a more valuable medical opinion than a doctor with lower grades and it's always best to listen to the doctor who had the highest grades.

-The most valuable views in the medical field are the views that are held in overwhelming consensus. Views that are supported by the majority are most likely correct and views outside of the majority are not worth listening to.

Very obviously not  a strawman, you see exactly where this is going and how it relates to this topic. You've spent the better part of the last four years dismissing qualifications in the media and and medical fields because the minority opinion appealed to you. When it's convenient, qualifications matter and the world is a rigid meritocracy. At any other point, only the opinions that appeal to you matter and minority opinion is important.  ::)

In regards to the comparison made in the video, it's a shit comparison. Sports is one of the few true actual meritocracies society has. Measuring the best player or the best team is simple- just look at hard stats and achievements. As you just said and you've said for years, those things don't matter to you if you don't want them to matter. For any reasonable person success in most areas outside of sports and sales should be considered more complex.

your "gotcha" question is a perfect example of why they realistically should be looked at as more complex. Medicine is an art, not a hard science with hard metrics of success. There is a long, well-documented  body of research that details how minority patients get better treatment from minority doctors. White doctors tend to have  pretty significant blind spots when it comes to treating minority patients, whether it be overestimating how much pain we should be able to tolerate, inaccurate risk assessments or just being trained not to believe patients. This is not a blind spot that statistically applies to minority doctors with white patients because most training literature is focused on whites.  I'll post a few vids for you to ignore, but the point remains the "diversity is idiocy" garbage is just that.

the one i find stupidest is diversity quotas for the fire department. Yes, Id rather have a tranny hispanic negroid with a lisp putting out my fire than the person with the most ability for the job ::) ::)


Happens in cities all over the USA where underqualified people end up getting multiple chances to be on the fire department because of ethnicity.

Apparently now the NHS in the UK is racist because black mothers have a higher risk of dying during childbirth.
They seem to think that there are hoards of tyranical midwives going around saying "fuck her shes black, let her die"

It cant be that black people are just having more children and as such have more chance of dying or that they are genetically predisposed to having birthing problems

I rarely discuss the competence of the media, I have regularly questioned the honesty of the media which isnt the same thing at all.

Well then maybe its an example we should be setting across all industries and workforces rather than looking to set quotas

I may have an interview coming up shortly and I will get asked the "diversity" question

My response will be one word "meritocracy", it wont score well but Im not spouting shit in order to fall in line with a woke agenda.
