How do you distinguished gentlemen feel about this concept?

If you want  a solid utilitarian automatic watch from a reputable company the citizens are not bad. They do not try to pretend to be something they are not fake bling. They also have some unique features like atomic timekeeping and light powered chronos

Can't do it. I'm clumsy and walk into stuff a lot - like walls and other large inanimate objects that I have no business walking into.

So watches get scratched and scruffed real quick here.

Not that watches server a purpose any more - they went the way of the digital camera.

Eh it is nice to know the time without having to carry a cell phone everywhere. Some watches also have different features like biometric stuff but I prefer the classic mechanical. A good mechanical watch is a Rude Goldberg Machine judged by complexity and number of movements. Hell some of the cases themselves are rated for the Marianna Trench. It is about over design over kill over complex engineering and yes style.

You are worried about scratching a quality watch? You can hit this thing with a hammer you won't break the crystal. It has a gas escape valve so it can go to damn near the bottom of the Marianna Trench. It can withstand pressure to 16k feet. You can not hurt this watch. The high end sport watches are nearly indestructible.

The most despicable thing is calling it a “time piece.” Geez, just call it a watch.

I think "Time pieces" is a black invention, since they also created the expression "Dime pieces".

Expensive Dime Pieces and Time Pieces.

Now you can scratch gold but you can also just buff it out you don't lose any gold when you scratch it. If you want a sporty gold watch the GMT Master 2 is stunning but 38k pretty much any gold rolex is going to start around 40k. Same for most of the other high end Swiss made gold watches (companies that actually use gold) you are going to spend about 40k or more to get one.

https://www.rolex.com/en-us/watches/gmt-master-ii/m126718grnr-0001

Then you have to ask if yourself how large of a watch do you want? The GMT is 40mm. Some are really big (42 or over I have seen 45) others are smaller 36mm mens watches. Styles change and you have to consider weight as well. I have found a left handed watch on the left hand is actually better as it puts the winding mechanism towards the elbow instead of the wrist. A large watch with a wrist sided winding mechanism can be uncomfortable when lifting the mechanism will dig into the back of the hand. Some watches are too thick some are too heavy some are very sporty but not classy. You need to consider all things and ideally have more than one watch

There is also a preowned market for luxury watches and online these will let you see some of the better brands. See what matches your style and budget

https://www.tourneau.com/

But also lots of great automatic watches in the 300-1200 dollar range. My everyday watch is a 600 dollar watch and I like it I have had several watches in the 3-8k range (Omega, Tag, Steel Rolex) and my 600 Seiko is just as nice bracelet and case is a tank of course inside isn't as complex I am sure but its the same quality feel and weight to the watch. It is still waterproof rated to 300m it tells the date and the winding mechanism works well

I am unlikely to ever be in the Mariana Tranch any time soon. I don't get it. I once asked a guy  why he was about to climb up  and he said "Because it's there". I told him "That's the same reason I walk round them".

I did have a watch recently that lasted 1 year - Garmin GPS thingy that told you when you were awake and asleep - but the dog kept chewing the charger cables because they are made of bone marrow or something.

lol at these watches that can go 300m underwater.
If you are 300m underwater you are not relying on a fucking wristwatch to remind you its time to go to the surface

they test each individual watch by dropping them in the ocean on the end of a fishing line  ;D

They could tell you anything about the watch and there is no way you could prove otherwise.

Absolutely one of the most, if not the most ever, worthless wastes of money to own an expensive watch. It’s a total joke.

The reason is because real lesbians tend to be well armed.

Glock 19 appendix in an affluent neighborhood.

Do you have a disproportionately large number of hand chopping’s in your village?

Took my $20 dollar Casio in the ocean body surfing. It worked perfect after that. How many watches can be exposed to salt water?  I can also drop it from a 5 story window and it will work perfectly.
