I generally don't talk about lbs, since it's all relative to the user, but I did a pretty comfortable 315x5 straight bar, on my third workout back after getting out of the boot and not having deadlifting in 13 weeks.  No special deadlift bar, no bounce, no straps, etc.  I weigh a massive ectomorphic 180.

First workout was with 135 up to 225, next one up to 275, next one to 315.  Then I started Ed Coan's 10 week program Friday.

If Hankins can't do 280, I would be surprised.

I use straps to DL and followed a program Henda sent me. Right now I’m not doing them, I will rotate them back into my workout again soon.

Honestly, I think you are correct I should have put 315 on it. I am debating if I feel like lugging out another plate to make a point or if I should just do the 280 again.

It's not your ability to accomplish the sets that keep me up at night. I'm just not vibing with the whole account wager scene.

You all bring great elements to the forum. Even this "wager" for instance is an interesting challenge. But why stick to betting accounts when we could up the ante? How about putting money where your mouths are and see who can nail it with strict form and finesse?

The 4 of you can post videos (if you'd like) and whoever wins take the total cash put down. Nothing stings more than losing money.

Besides, I'd much rather see you guys risking some green than risking our online turf. Let's keep it classy, competitive, and above all, solvent.

We cannot allow you to make a theoretical statement that could easily be put into practice, on the basis on not wanting to lift up a plate.

Use a 5lb plate as a makeshift dead wedge to help you get this monster weight on the bar.
