But maybe dj181 is right - I think they push things under the *guise* of helping, that actually hurt us.
IMO, saying that cow farts are ruining the planet is just what they do to target healthy diets [eating animals is a good thing, IMO - makes us stronger + is the natural diet humans ate for millennia, and eating protein from meat apparently caused our brains to evolve to the extent they did].
But as dj181 said, they want us to be fat, since Big Pharma's profits aren't in the cures, but in us using subscription-based prescriptions while we are sick. That gives Big Pharma a continual flow of revenue. Curing disease doesn't do this. And us dying doesn't help Big Pharma, as they just lose a customer.
So the sweet spot is in us living with disease, while paying for prescriptions to keep us alive.

Although I completely understand why you suggested that, but you are suggesting those pushing these trends are employing some logic to it. It just comes down to the bottom line.
On that note, the elites have an optics problem on their hands, as they demand us peons curb our emissions while they have limousines shipped in private jets to Davos to discuss human-caused climate change.
I think stuff like that is why they will not get their ideas off the ground without force. Namely, they are all climate hypocrites.
