I don't think they can win. Not even with a "smart" or "safe" choice like a more moderate white male governor of a swing state. I think they should go for broke and try to get Oprah or Michelle Obama to rally their base and get out the vote. That's not my personal preference for a candidate. But in terms whether Kamala Harris can win, keep in mind that we elected Obama twice and Joe Biden once.

Gov as in government or governor?

Folks elected to public office (politicians) are 'public servants' because the public pays their salaries. Government programs are paid for by taxpayers. The public vote determines who is elected and often which bills get passed. Seems to me the public is the government’s boss and not the other way around.

Tina Kotek is Oregon's governor. She currently has an approval rating of 45%, the lowest of any Oregon Governor. IMO the public today is more negative and judgmental than in times past... mostly thanks to the MSM. Politicians are mere mortals and therefore nobody's God.
