Cyberknife

What is the survival rate after a cyberknife?

Accuray reports that for low-risk patients the disease-free five-year survival rates are between 97% and 100%. For intermediate risk patients the rate is between 88% and 97%.

There`s a hospital in Syracuse about three hours from where I  am.

Up here in the sticks they either send you to  Burlington Vermont or Syracuse NY.

Yesterday I got a call from a woman who was just a doctors receptionist and she wanted me to go to  Burlington for a biopsy........I told her fuck that all the way there and back for them to tell me what I fucking already know ???

Of course I was polite and only said the word FUCK about 50 or so times......which is good considering it was me talking.   ;D

Anyway, they have this Cyberknife treatment in Syracuse which isn`t far from me.

Guess who's white ass is going to  Syracuse ASAP?

I told that woman to call me back on Monday as I was trying to stay busy and not dwell on it so  as not to  get depressed anymore than I already am.

PS - I was very polite to her.  ;)

Awesome news brother

I just know you're gonna make it

Still saying some prayers and I asked my very Godly friend to send some up as well

He's a very good dude so I'm pretty sure He listens to my friend a bit more than he listens to me

Stay strong 💪 💪 💪

If you want to die, go to Syracuse. if you want to live go to Rochester .

Upstate med center in Syracuse treated my dad for prostrate cancer. They ended up overdosing him with radiation by a factor of 1000. He died a slow painful death from radiation poisoning 3 years. Fuck Syracuse

Will the cyberknife facility operate without a biopsy first?  Or do they do that also?

Was glad to see you post a positive message.  Made my day.....

No they`ll do nothing without a biopsy first just in case the tumor/growth doesn`t happen to be Cancerous.

I  had a biopsy when I had Lung Cancer.....didn`t even realize I had it done when I woke up.

Jesus Christ bro.....that`s terrible.

The only reason I`d go to Syracuse is because they are the only ones that I know of,in the area anyway, that does the Cyberknife procedure.

Oh, ok.  Thought so.  I've heard nothing but good things about cyberknife treatment.

Would be even better news if your results are benign.  Think positive no matter what.....

I will bro, that`s the reason I asked everyone to kind of end the other thread.....not that I didn`t appreciate cuz I damn sure did and still do,I just didn`t want to fall into a depressed state and start to wallow in self pity.

You guys are all great people in my book.

Yesterday was the first time I ever heard of the Cyberknife.....my sister sent me a link to  it.

In actuality....this still hasn`t sunk in 100%....which is good for my mental state.

Will just add that I am grateful for all the kindness and well wishes from you guys......my extended getbig family.

Corny I know,but it`s truly how I feel.

I am not an oncologist. I think survival rates will depend on biopsy results (they will probably do specific tests on the tissue to see what type of cancer it is on a molecular level) and on its potential spread. If they did a cat scan maybe the report contains some useful information like if your lymph nodes look like they are enlarged or if there are any suspicious lesions in other organs nearby.

Again, I wish you all the best.

Have to admit.....quite impressive to have all that going on and still have the time to battle the Generals on the court year after year!

Cyberknife is a brand name for a version of "Stereotactic Radiosurgery". I just looked it up - I never head of it before your posted it. In any case they do a version at Strong Memorial in Rochester. https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?contenttypeid=85&contentid=p08476

Syracuse is a shit hole when it comes to medicine. A buddy of mine got esophageal cancer- he was advised by a doctor at Upstate in Syracuse to have a radical surgery with a less than 50% success rate. Instead he searched out other places and ended up at WD Anderson in Houston. It was a success.

I have too many stories to tell about failures at Syracuse Hospitals....

Go to UVA hospital my step father DR Burke is a physicist there or was 20 years ago. they will hit the cancer with laser from 500 different angles and where they meet in the middle will kill the cancer cells no massive surgery needed they use it for brain cancer surgery it is so accurate.

Of course it is probably not cancer so relax old people get tumors it’s perfectly normal may just be a cyst
