A crystal clear and VERY detailed look into every aspects of this legendary aircraft. Absolutely amazing animation work. Bit long but well worth the watch.

I’ll await Palumboism’s opinion, since threads like this are more to be expected from him.

Kelly Johnson and Ben Rich are legends. Read Skunkworks by Ben Rich, great book that offers insight on the SR-71 as well as what would become the F-117 and how Skunkworks went about developing these aircraft.

look into the tr3b

This t3rb thing... I mean, Aurora, I understand. Isn't the tr3b just a jazzed up Aurora without any actual satellite, contrail or documented info on? It just seems to me that the tr3b is aurora with some stupid dome in the middle to make it even more "alien" looking?

"Aurora" = successor of the SR-71. All four prototypes mothballed years ago. Waste of money. There is no use for a super expensive high speed spy plane. Satellites and much cheaper and much less risky stealthy drones can do it way better.

"TR-3B" = the non human tech is way too far ahead of us. Perhaps a fraction can be reverse engineerd, for example how some materials are made and are bonded together.
The large black triangles that have been seen in the 80s and 90s mainly are not made by humans. The American military industrial complex is unable to copy tech that is perhaps hundreds of technical revolutions ahead of us.
And I don' think they will be able to copy such tech in the next fifty years.

I think the peak of American engineering is the self-checkouts in Walmart.

Home Depot's are right up there.
