I don't recall having imaginary friends when I was a kid, but that was a thousand years ago, so anything is possible. Since several of my good friends have passed, I should think about getting some imaginary friends to replace them. Then when folks say I have become senile, they will be right. LOL!

What I do recall is that when my son was four or five years old, he had an imaginary cat which lived in our mailbox. It was built into the wall by the front door and had a small door on the inside of the house by the staircase. He'd open the door and talk to his imaginary pet cat. Also, he used to ask me if I remembered when he was my father which was weird since my paternal father was still alive at the time. Fortunately, as he matured, he outgrew his fantasies and memories of past lives.
