Can’t believe people still follow the Olympia

More people are following the Olympia this year than any other, but the majority are more silent than before.   The contest is sold out, but while the main event of pro bodybuilding open is still there, a lot of excitement is generated in the classic division with Chris and all, and other divisions.

See some of you there...

I`m still interested of course,but I don`t follow it like I used to.

This echoes my feelings, I was blown away to find out Shawn Rhoden won one year.

You guys complain they are too blocky now meanwhile Shawn Rhoden may have the best winning aesthetic Olympia physique with size we have seen in my lifetime he had more size than the blade.  If you asked me which Mr Olympia Physique do you want its Rhoden hands down. Guy had super freak size with a small waist and height. If you want a classic look but Open size Rhoden is great

The crazy part is I remember when Dorian came out one of his final years and I remember his arm looking like shit and then years later I reflect back and sure enough it didn’t always look like that. It was torn toward the end. I was wondered how he won with such a tiny weird looking arm. And I remember flex wheeler on a bunch of magazine covers looking awesome

It's the way they score, best score out of all the mandatory poses wins, Dorian was at the time of injury ready to hang it up that is until he reviewed how he could still pull it off via the scoring criteria

I haven't followed it since Heath lost.  I know Flexatron beat him (I think that was who), then Brandon won, after that I have no idea who placed where.  When I see contest results now of the ASC or NY Pro or whatever, I have no idea who those guys are.
