What's wrong with racism?
Opinions differ. I think genes rule. Blacks for example have lower impulse control and all studies say this, from little children on. Differences in time orientation, for example black children are more likely to choose one piece of candy now as opposed to three pieces later. I'm a racist. Racism is fact, race is real, it's not a social construct. Doesn't mean you want to oppress anyone though. Racism is seen as the domain of white supremacists because they just hate other races, strange that all the human biodiversity proponents think Asians or Ashkenazi Jews are more intelligent than whites on average (different temperaments and other qualities though, also genetic). Do you think the 15 point IQ gap between American blacks and whites that never goes away is all cultural? Thomas Sowell thinks blacks are the same as any other race, it's just that they were suddenly thrown from the stone age into modernity and haven't "learned" yet, but I think there is bias there for obvious reasons.
For example, this well known controversy by Nobel price winning scientist:
Watson had previously told Britain’s Sunday Times newspaper in 2007 that he was “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa” because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours, whereas all the testing says not really.”
The scientist added that while he hoped everyone was equal, “people who have to deal with black employees find this is not true.”
Is he wrong? Scientists have been given directions on how to disseminate new scientific research on genes so as not to appear racist, but the data itself is racist. I think most actually agree with this but then say I know very intelligent blacks and very stupid whites, but that doesn't change anything, it's not an argument against racism. It's absurd to note the obvious physical differences between races and then assume this doesn't extend to intelligence or temperament. I've written about the behavior of Somali youths here, an absolute menace in the public space, screaming and jumping around, no shops want them in there. I think it's mostly genetic. Of course I know the average conservative and republican thinks like Ben Shapiro, "I don't care about the browning of America, I only care about ideology" but I think a country will change if they change the racial demographics, whether it's blacks, Indians, latinos, whatever and genetics has a lot to do with it.
