Tre,
What it comes down to is Bob was losing an argument, 240 was getting under his skin, so he lost his cool and said a bunch of shit he shouldn't have.
The thing is, he's 40 years old and supposed to be a professional, yet he has less self-control than most 20-somethings on here. And this isn't the first time it has happened, either. If he doesn't have the maturity to control his temper, he really needs to stay off the boards, since he's making his employer look bad.
I think Bob's problem is that he doesn't recognize when he's in a no-win situation. Based on what you guys have said about the discussion, there was nothing for him to gain by engaging 240.
As a contracted endorser, he should feel comfortable promoting his company's products, customer service, and contributions to the bodybuilding community, and he should be doing so on a regular basis. But he should never do anything which casts aspersions over their business practices, regardless of the context. I'm not saying he has to try to get everyone to like him, but he does have to be a politician.
He's a big man with big responsibilities, so I hope he'll be mindful of that going forward. Leave the petty nonsense to those of us who have time to deal with that crap.
