Thought i do my first post and say hi!
My names is James Flex Lewis
I come from a country called Wales in the uk. I grown up in small town called Llanelli i have two brothers and a great mother and my father.
My Mother is and ex nurse but now cant work due to her disability and my father works in the local steal factory,growing up with Dyslexic when a time no one knew any different and passing out with full honor, i know how hard you have to work for things in life and Bodybuilding is the hardest and best thing ive EVER done i could of gone anyother route in life but choose this. I ve been brought up on good morals and treat people how i like to be treated, many who have meet me know can agree to this.
As for my names.......
I was Christand with the Name James but Nicknamed with the name Flex 6 years later.... at 6 years old!
I have grown up being called Flex since i was 6 went through school being called Flex even get called Flex by my parents.
So now im in a sport who also has a flex, whom i might add was one of the greatest Bodybuilders of all time, now when i heard that there was another Flex i did think to go and change my name at one point, but my Mother was the person who stopped me, gotta understand my backround im from a country where pride ourselves on being Good Natured true to ones self so changing my name was altering all 16 years of people calling me a name i answer to, think of someone saying sorry we cant call you ''Ronnie'' as there another Ronnie in this sport......... Hold on who was the winner of the Australia G.Prix is there a thread on that? NO
When i got into the sport i didnt know of any other Flex only after i did my first show, i was flown to America by Golds gym Owner Ed Connors at he age of 19 and i was exposed to a great life which could be attained thought hard work and persistence in Bodybuilding.
Now im cutting a long stories short im 22 Years old im 23 weeks out from my first Pro Card Qualifier i train now under Milos whom i might add is like my father or big brother (sorry milos make you feel younger) over here, i get addressed as Flex by all the Pros and all ifbb officials so they dont seem to have a problem with my name?
Ive appered in many Major Publications in articles in Europe and Usa i get printed as James Flex Lewis now if there was such a big fuss on my name you think the editors would of not printed this???
Talking of article next months Flex.......... Flex Lewis and Dorian Yates training together in Dorians Temple Gym!
But im sorry ONE OR TWO people feel offended as i have the name Flex Lewis but sorry im here to stay. I love this sport!
If it Helps anyone many of my friends call me Flexy so with the extra Y on the end hey its a different name!!!
