Hopefully he makes a full recovery but that would have taken a lot out of him, selfishly when I see this video im so glad that I didn't push too hard and accepted never reaching my potential. Ronnie guest posed at a show I won after he had just won his first Olympia. Whilst I kept going for some months after ultimately moving back to Venice and finding out first hand what was required was too much for me and I retired. Thank God.In saying that I still hope that he and all the others who pushed on have good health for as long as possible.  No regrets.

Despite him being sick now he has amazing resiliency. His main issue isn't even gear related per se, a back injury like his could happen to a natural. Then there was his hard headedness of stressing his broken back with heavy loads to the point of breaking screws in his back. There are natural or semi-natural athletes with similar issues, like I saw some reel of Bas Rutten where his one side is atrophied due to some spine issue. Lots of others would have died decades earlier from organ problems if they'd juiced as hard as him. I'm sure he's probably already taken a bunch PEDs to recover, maybe even under doc supervision

I know what he's talking about, I had very high fever for 2+ weeks straight with cold plates on my chest while they tried to find the right antibiotic to kill it.

Ronnie has a great attitude when faced with adversity. Really unique. I hope he gets better!

No ones hating on him, we just all think he’s an idiot , all of it was preventable, I don’t feel sorry for him doing what he’s doing to his body that led up to everything failing left and right

What’s worse is people cheering on him and encouraging him to keep lifting stupid weights , and this was going on for at least 10 years. No one in his corner likely talked any sense into him

Just kept saying “light weight baby, you got this Ronnie, even though he was nearly a cripple during that time”
