Ronald Shane Crow of Trafford, Alabama, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the crimes of drugging, raping, sodomizing, and sexually torturing a child under the age of 12. Circuit Judge Christopher Abel handed down the sentence, which also includes 99 years for sexual abuse of a child under 12, 365 days for indecent exposure and unlawful imprisonment, and 180 days for menacing. All sentences will run concurrently.

Crow was convicted in September 2025 on a total of 13 counts, including two counts of sexual torture of a child under 12, first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, sexual abuse of a child under 12, distributing a controlled substance to a minor, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, indecent exposure, and menacing. The jury reached their verdict in less than 15 minutes.

LILLINGTON, N.C. (WNCN) — A three year long investigation has come to a close, as court records show an ex-Harnett County sheriff’s deputy was convicted of producing child pornography.

Johnathan Andrew Edwards received his conviction after pleading guilty to the crime on Oct. 1, court records show.

The case began in October of 2023 after the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office said it became aware of misconduct by the former deputy and conducted an internal investigation. During that time, Edwards was placed on administrative leave and later terminated for policy violations in November of 2023, according to the sheriff’s office.

On Dec. 4, 2023, the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office arrested Edwards on several counts of production of child pornography, possession of child pornography, 10 counts of felony first degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of felony obstruction of justice.

Orange County Man Sentenced To 170 Years In Federal Prison For Production And Possession Of Child Sexual Abuse Material



Orlando, Florida – U.S. District Judge Carlos E. Mendoza has sentenced David Andrew Ogden (40, Winter Park) to 170 years in federal prison for production and possession of child sexual abuse material. Ogden pleaded guilty on August 20, 2025.

According to court documents, on September 8, 2024, Ogden entered an apartment without permission where three minor children were sleeping. He began touching two of the children and used his cellphone to produce child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of them. Following Ogden’s arrest later that night, a search warrant was executed on his cellphone which revealed additional CSAM Ogden had produced in 2022 and 2024 involving two other minor children. Ogden’s phone also contained more than1,000 AI-generated CSAM images and 10 AI-generated videos, some of which portrayed the abuse of children between the ages of 2 and 6 years old.

This case was investigated by Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Winter Park Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman. The forfeiture was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Nicole Andrejko.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorney’s Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 70-year-old David Davis was booked into the Hardin County jail around 5:37 p.m. Thursday, according to booking information. Records show he was released on bond just over an hour later, around 6:39 p.m.

SAVANNAH MAN ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH SOLICITATION OF A MINOR, STATUTORY RAPE

HARDIN COUNTY – An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation into allegations of rape against a juvenile has resulted in the arrest of a Savannah man.

At the request of the 24th Judicial District Attorney General Neil Thompson, on November 13th, TBI special agents began investigating allegations that David Hershel Davis (DOB 09/06/1955) sexually exploited and raped a juvenile. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that, in 2015, Davis had a sexual relationship with a minor who was then 15 years old.

On November 13th, TBI agents and Hardin County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis and charged him with one count each of Aggravated Statutory Rape and Solicitation of a Minor by Electronic Means. He was booked into the Hardin County Jail on $100,000 bond.

At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing. The TBI is asking anyone who may have been a potential victim targeted by Davis to call 1-800-TBI-FIND or email TipsToTBI@tbi.tn.gov.

The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process of law.
