What does "throw in with you" mean?

That means back me up

That you are certain I am not lying and telling the truth

I'm sure one of you fucks will dm Bob lorimer on Fagbook and asked him if he briefly trained me in the summit of 1995

How heavy should I go on those deficits?

Hard to say, I mean I only ever really did low rep deads, kind of miffed I never tried the 500×20 thing. I think tommywishbone did that :D
But anyway, if for strength I would do them in place of reg deads for a period of time, do the same rep ranges you've found beneficial for reg deads. If someone tends to start hitching when maxing IMO deficit deads take care of that very well, it helps improve form to "comp standards" almost automatically. You can't really hitch a deficit, at least I never saw it. Personally I did only one max set of any variation of deads really, but some like a bit more volume, some even do 5x5 LOL. Some powerlifters thought they could only do circa max deads every other week. My buddy who even managed to get gold in deads in his category at IPF worlds once did 4 extremely hard, almost idiotically so, deadlift sessions a week sometimes :D

For improving the dead and if wanting to try deficits for a while I might suggest one hard set of deficits, maybe 2-4 reps, one or two hard sets of good mornings, some nasty leg curling motion like glute-ham raise. Then some heavy calf moves. If there's still energy left maybe some chest supported rows or other upper back exercise. Once a week :D

I've lived for deads my whole life so I have a lot to say about the subject :D
I've had some nasty upper back spine pain the last few years but to my amazement imaging showed no herniations at all ??? Told doc I've lifted heavy for a long time but they have no idea... like 300kg+ (660) loads weekly for 25 years straight, but unless you lift yourself it's just meaningless numbers LOL.

Love rack pulls.

Nice. Makes you feel alive :D

When I was 15 years old and starting hard deads I went insane from the very beginning. People asked me if I'd been in a fight the days after, broke so many blood vessels in my face it looked like black eyes.

You don't have to believe it because I do not care

All I care about is selling my product and progressing on my Adonis Ratio over the next 6 weeks which I will do.so😉

Years ago I would do rack pulls, from different settings, at some point I was moving over 900 lbs for a few reps, but it's a short range of motion though

My deadlift has been stuck at 405 for forever. I cant seem to builr explosive strength in my quads glutes. Any advice on that?
Stiff legged deads and Romanian deads. Like Vans said deficit deads are also beneficial.

I say that quote tongue in cheek, plenty of sarcasm, even some sadness. Deadlifts for me have always been extremely important, but of course if you look at it rationally it's ridiculous how much value we attach to whatever little things :D

I put that pic there with a little snicker in my mind but at the same time in my life it's been scarily true at times. The weights move and everything is bright again for a moment ::) :D

Just watched a vid with Larry pollack and Leo mayenhofr and they both clearly said that mast adds ZERO MUSCLE

I made 3 separate comments on that vid😁😁😁😁

Do you agree with them?

It used to be what everyone thought, even very recently like just a couple of years ago. Some top coaches etc.

how do you guys feel about rack pulls. I started doing them this week as Im focused on some heavy training and feel they really hit the back well. The upper half of my dead lift is weak so aiming to help that. I put it about an inch below the kneecap

My busted lower back is only confortable doing deads with a trap bar. The grip is higher about 4 or 5 inches than the standard deads. Something about the amount of offset the bar gets from my spine.
