Trump was found liable for sexual abuse. The victim and accuser, E. Jean Carroll, was awarded a total of $88.3 million. $5 million for sexual abuse and defamation and an additional $83.3 million from a January 2024 trial for defamation related to Donald Trump's public statements. Trump appealed. The appeals court upheld the $5 million award to E. Jean Carroll.
The $83.3 million judgment was also upheld by an appeals court in September 2025.

Multiple women including Trump's late wife Ivana have accused him of sexual assault. Trump denied all of the allegations, saying they were lies. Many suspect there were payoffs made to silence the accusers.

This doesn't sound like the type of guy that would de-fraud people using crypto? surely thats a lie?

Anyone paying attention who has half a brain knows that image, great wealth and fame are the major forces which feed Trump's massive and yet very fragile ego. Trump and family built a $5 billion fortune since the crypto launch according to The Wall Street Journal. This is supposedly more than what has been earned over several decades from his real estate holdings. Personally, I believe real estate is a much safe investment even if less lucrative.

Not being an attorney, I cannot say for sure whether this is accurate or not but from what I read, criminal fraud is when there is a victim or victims. Trump was charged with civil fraud which does not require there be a victim(s).

Key differences between civil and criminal fraud
Fraud can be both a civil wrong (a "tort") and a criminal offense, and the standards for each differ significantly.

Civil Fraud (AG's Case)

Prosecutor   Brought by the Attorney General (Letitia James) on behalf of the state or public.

Burden of Proof:   "Preponderance of the evidence." The state must show it is more likely than not (over 50% chance) that fraud occurred.
Required Intent:   Under New York's specific statute, proof of intent to deceive is not required.
Potential Penalties:   Financial penalties, forfeiture of profits, and limitations on business operations.
Victim Requirement:   In the civil case, the AG did not need to prove that a specific victim was harmed, only that repeated fraudulent acts occurred.

What is your source for this?

Fraud always requries a victim (someone who was been defrauded).  In this instance, the "victims" are the banks.  The banks loved Trump and testified on his behalf.  It's a really stupid case.

what was trump convicted of? I honestly do not know as I didnt follow along during that saga.

He wasn't convicted of anything.  He was found liable for defrauding banks who testified that they were not actually defrauded.

Anyone paying attention who has half a brain knows that Trump was one of the wealthiest persons on the planet before he was elected POTUS.

You are correct he was found liable in the civil fraud case and for sexual abuse in the E Jean Carrol case. Convictions are reserved for criminal cases.

Because a jury found him liable.  Doesn't mean he actually did it.

And I doubt you would consider this a fair outcome.  This allegedly happened over 30 years ago.  She couldn't even identify the year that it happened.  Take Trump's name out of it.  Do you think it's fair for a man to have to defend against 30-plus-year-old allegations where the accuser cannot identify the day, much less the year, that it happened?

Only $5 million of the liability settlement is based the sexual abuse by Trump of E. Jean Carrol which happened decades ago.

The $83.3 liability settlement was for defamation of character which happened beginning October 2022 when Trump published a "lengthy post" on Truth Social against E. Jean Carroll, which included a June 2019 photograph of her. Carroll would later successfully claim this post as defamatory. Trump's first defamation liability ruling by a jury was in 2023.

Trump continued to make public statements denying the sexual assault and also made comments which were later found to be defamatory. In 2024 a jury once again found Trump liable for defamation.

Each was a separate case. Both times, different juries found him liable.

Wrong.  The first jury found him liable.  The second jury presumed liability and awarded damages.  The second judgment was based on his "defaming" her by denying her allegations.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I am so glad this lawfare failed.

Trump is not in my head. But it is difficult to avoid knowing a lot of things about him and his actions because he is in the news 24/7 and has been throughout much of his life.

Never have I posted anything about Trump that others do not already know or accused him of anything he has not already been accused of.

Truth be told, I can hardly wait until he fades away and becomes old news even though some folks such as yourself will continue talking about him long after this happens. It is you and other people who turn a blind eye to his bad behavior, and defend it like you do who suffer from TDS, not I.

What is pathetic is you responding to my post which was directed to Illuminati. Do you think he cannot speak for himself? Are you his daddy?
