The reason soccer is the most poplular sport in the world has more to do with availability of a place to play and equipment, than anything else.  It's popular in third-world shit holes because they can stuff a sack with rags and kick it around.  It's popular in Europe because of your groupthink mentality where it's better that everything ends up a tie instead of having a clear-cut winner.  8)

the reason why baseball,football and basketball etc aren`t that popular is because the teams score every fucking min. so it`s not as exciting

i can`t imagine someone screaming :yes!!! kobe!!! your 80th point in this game!!!

in a soccergame on the other hand it`s a great thing when a player scores a hattrick -the fans go mad

Must admit I'm not a big soccer fan-much prefer rugby union,played for 12 years til I tore my ACL.England are the current World Champs ya know 8)

  Soccer is popular because it is low cost and easy to understand. More developed countries like the US have evolved toward more complex and expensive sports. I think reasonably high scores are exciting, although it's best when the score is close.

Drugs or not (not for this HR) that ball and all the others were fair by a long shot they would have been HR's reguardless of drug use, he just cleared the fences 20ft farther than if he was off gear!!

soccer as you twats call it is called football

very exciting and great fun to play and watch. of course there are boring games etc. however there can be 3-0 boring games and 0-0 real thrillers. ive tried watching basball and it sucks donkeys dick. too long boring and not really a sport.

at least football is a way to kkep fit also rather than doin 20yrd runs once every hour

a 0-0 thriller can be packed with action. just because no goals r scored doesnt mean it aina thriller. 1994 world cup final prime example. ppl can be sent off hotly contested 50 shots on goal. a score is not totally reflective on the thrill factor of a game
