The UPS Guy Left Me this Note Yesterday
« on: September 09, 2025, 06:09:53 AM »
I am in a rural white area in the summer.

I was looking at the doorbell of my condo because I’ve had phantom ring issue.

My wife saw the UPS car in the distance so we went in and spoke about what we could do to fix it.

We never even looked out the window to see who dropped the package off. (Who cares)

1st off, this is NOT Reddit. Why are you posting this on here?

This doesn't even seem like a human wrote it.

If this is an actual real incident, there is no such thing as a "phantom ring issue." It's simply that you people don't know how to use your Ring.

If you were expecting a package delivery, you would have been aware and paying attention to when the delivery was supposed to arrive. How could you not know someone dropped off a package at your house? So you people were so out of it and in la-la land that you didn't hear someone coming to your door? But you're somehow vigilant and observant enough to see a "UPS car" in the distance?? What the hell is a UPS car? They drive trucks. Not cars. TRUCKS.

And what the hell do you mean your wife noticed the UPS car in the distance? But you didn't hear them pull up to your house?

And what the hell do you mean "We never even looked out the window to see who dropped the package off. (Who cares)" What the hell do you mean "who cares?"

Nothing makes sense in this tall tale.

What difference does living in a rural white area mean? If this actually happened, which I doubt, why did you need to post the photo? Did you contact UPS? Or just focus on Getbig and Imgur as your outlet to complain on? More than likely you wrote those words on the slip.

If you're at home, how oblivious and helpless are you not to hear a delivery? Especially if you're expecting a delivery that day.

It’s a condo in the mountains and not a house genius.

I like that you instigate even though you are wrong.

This really did happen and I still have the slip.

BTW, how do you think I got access to this piece of paper?

If you wanted a blank one of these right now how would you get one?

Please explain to me what a UPS car is? Why was the UPS driver that your wife spotted in the hazy distance driving a UPS car? Are they smaller than UPS trucks? Are they a new addition to the UPS fleet? Never heard of the UPS cars division!

And what the hell do you mean when you state "who cares" when talking about the package at your door? What does that even mean? Who says that? "Oh, hahaha...by George! Look! Theres a package at our door! Hmmm, I don't remember hearing anyone delivering it. Wonder who sent it to us? Hmmmm, perhaps UPS or Fed Ex brought it? Ahhh, who cares?!"

It's your sole fault that you missed the UPS delivery. Did you not even hear him knock? You ramble about some "phantom ring" issue? Never heard of such a thing and it sounds more like you don't have the Ring set up properly. Or you don't even know how to work the Ring.

If you are expecting a delivery, and you happen to be home on the same day of delivery, then it's your responsibility to be ready to accept the delivery.

How in the world could you miss the guy dropping your package at your door? How out of it were you, to let this happen? What's the point of even having a Ring if you didn't even realize someone was at your door? If you couldn't hear the UPS guy leaving a package, I guess you never know if anyone ever comes to your door? This is a textbook example of someone having zero situational awareness. You are literally sitting ducks for robbers.

To me, it seems like you had a blank UPS slip that was left at your door...and then you decided to try and go viral...so you wrote that message.

And no one is impressed you live in the mountains.

I didn’t miss the UPS driver.

He misused the company property super genius.

The number on it leads to nothing because it isn’t associated with any actual delivery.

Put that piece of paper into Chat GPT and ask if it’s fake.

I get a lot of tags from UPS at my office.  A lot of them do not have things written in the notes.  They do, however, have one of the boxes checked at the top.  Your picture is suspect.

Lastly, I don't know of many UPS drivers that would risk writing that being that any package being delivered is assigned to a specific driver.  They could be discovered very easily

Ask AI to see if it is real. If you’d like additional pictures showing front and back etc I’ll be happy to post it.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that’s it’s not a real UPS delivery note. I think they are disputing the driver wrote the note in the box.

That note was left with your package? It’s surprising that a driver took the time to write that, considering they don’t have time to waste, knowing it can be traced back to whoever delivered it.

I would call UPS and why a  black del driver is so aggressive.

To be fair, UPS has started using independent contractors to handle some packages. I could see one of them doing it, especially if it was a single delivery to a rural area.

Trust me I was surprised and at first I was a little pissed, but I’ve decided to let it slide.

My initial reaction was that this leftist idiot doesn’t even realize they are the racist one. I’ll show him and get him in trouble, but I don’t want to ruin someone I really don’t hate.

I put a screenshot into Chat GPT and they immediately thought it was real without me explaining anything. It told me I had the right to feel harassed and gave me phone numbers to contact without me asking. Chat GPT read what it said without me explaining what was written.

It’s such damning evidence I think he (I assume it was a guy) could even be fired for this.

The more I thought about it the more I decided I don’t want him to lose his job over it.

I’m keeping the piece of paper though in case this isn’t the end.

If you're at home, how oblivious and helpless are you not to hear a delivery? Especially if you're expecting a delivery that day.

Idk, UPS drivers can be unhinged. They are essentially mail carriers with shittier pay and benefits. They are very much prone to 'going postal.'

I worked at UPS for about 2 days. It was the worst job I ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of jobs.

During the scamdemic I had everything delivered to our house- well my wife did- and one evening I heard someone on my porch, right outside my front door.  This went on for several minutes and I could hear the noise of the conversation in my living room. Finally I looked out and saw it was the UPS delivery driver standing on my porch talking on his phone. He was complaining about the difficulty of finding an address and he was checking a hand held GPS device. He also had a couple of boxes sitting on my porch.
So, I didn't think much of it.

About 5 minutes later, I still hear him and now he's cursing, loudly. So I open my front door, stick my head out and tell him " hey, you can just drop off the boxes and leave"

He looks at me and says "they're not for your address.  What's wrong with you? Do you always take other people's parcels? Sheesh!"

I was so taken back. I was shocked and my temper exploded. I said "well what the fuck are you standing on my porch for for the past 15 fucking minutes? He says "they're for xyz address. Don't you even know where you live?" Then he walked back to his van.

I followed him, cursing him out, calling him an asshole etc... he looks at me, waves and says "have a nice day" then drives off!

I called and lodged a complaint but never heard anything back. Then over the next several months my wife complained to me numerous times how orders never arrived. When she tracked the order she would get a message that the parcels were undeliverable because 'no such address existed' Finally I got ahold of a UPS supervisor and explained that our packages weren't being delivered but our address is CLEARLY visible.

The supervisor set-up the driver. Had a package shipped to our address, tracked his route and the supervisor arrived at my house to surveil the driver about 10 minutes prior to the time of the delivery.

The driver pulls up. Enters some notes into his handheld computer and starts to drive off without delivering the package. The supervisor runs out of my front door and confronts the driver. Basically this guy decided to fuck with me and mark all my packages as 'undeliverable/no such address because of the argument we got into months earlier. The supervisor set him up and caught him red handed. There were 27 packages/deliveries sitting in a UPS warehouse that he was supposed to have delivered.

The supervisor called me a few days later and said the driver had been fired because he had a pattern of doing this, a pattern of complaints and was often rude/antagonistic to homeowners. So it cost him his job. And fuck him. I hope he learned a lesson.

I don’t understand why you keep referencing ChatGPT? Why would anyone care what its “opinion” is? Did you need AI to confirm your feelings?

That aside you are probably making the best choice to let it go, the driver likely was having bad day. It’s interesting he assumes you are not black.
