will you eat your words if it goes well? it would be a more mixed economic model then pure socialist. A number of countries have done well with this. Socialism in some form exists in most capitalistic societies. Some prefer to skew the benefits towards the people others towards the institutions and rich.

However, this dude's lack of working a real job or having this experience could be worse than his supposed policies.

Why would I need to eat my words?  Is this some kind of contest?  I'm just expressing my opinion.

That said, I doubt I will be wrong, because socialism is a proven failure.  The things he supports are friggin nuts.

I recant to an extent - there are R's calling for "Sliwa" to do the right thing....I saw a few on X today.  Not sure if widespread or not.

But that's on them too.  Put forth a serious candidate.  If Mamdani wins, fuck  the left for having Cuomo and fuck the right for having Sliwa.

My interest in this is an independent journalist I follow who has been going to each borough, and interview folks of all back grounds, in as many areas as possible.  He's saying 9 out of 10 are not voting Mamdani, and that most curl their faces in disgust when he asks if they're voting for him.

Might be worth throwing some small wagers in Cuomo or Sliwa's direction.

But I am also interested in seeing what exactly happens if he is elected.
