Finland's schools have been considered the best in the world, is that not the case anymore? Finland hasn't had the mass immigration like Sweden.
There was a big reform a while back. Of course done with political reasons not by listening the teachers. So there is that.
Honestly can’t really tell how much that has affected things. But in techical schools things have going to the direction of self learning more and more. Companies have started to complain that kids graduating to some craft have barely the bare essentials needed.
And even in elementary school classes for very beginners they are saying that kids should take more responsibility for their studies. Which of course is idiotic to ask.
But the most acute thing is that there have been a big influx of kids from engineering, rocket scientist, layer and surgeon families from africa and middle east.
