Mamdani is a grifter. He is a well known failed crypto bro (crypto has all the top tier grifters) who pivoted into politics after he lost all his money.

Don't pay attention to what he says, pay attention to what he does. He is no different to the rest of the politicians and will have handlers.

Necrosis disagrees vehemently with your first statement.

I just don't see any evidence for it. He could be a complete lunatic, we will see.

What evidence is there for him grifting crypto? if he lost all his money that would be the opposite of grifting, that would be making a coin that failed. Usually the rug pullers make the money.

There hasn't been a bigger crypto grifter then trump though, thats a fact.

His victory speech was concerning.

I've said I think he'll largely be neutered by Albany, but we'll see.

I mean, his ideas are going to have to be the way the world goes, AI, inequality and just the natural outcome of capitalism with immiserate more and more people and that can only go on for so long until something has to be done. Things have to change, most theorists argue we are in late stage capitalism, what comes after who knows, marx thought communism or some kind of socialism, accelerationists think a return to carmeralism, others suggest a techno-feudal state either way stuff like this is going to increase as it simply has to as the logical conclusion of wealth generation and technological advance.

The largest layoffs in us history just occurred in 20 years, mostly AI, nothing to do with trump imo but that will accelerate, then what?

Literally nobody knows for certain.

There are best case scenarios, and worst case.

We'll have an idea within 2 or so years, I think.

He's an Islamist first and foremost. So he's a 3rd world barbarian and should be given a free helicopter ride.

This is what happens when you allow your nation to flooded with legal and illegal immigrants/aliens. That's how this happens.

Idealistic systems like Socialism and Communism fail because humans are in the main not idealistic.

Humans are in general out for everything they can get and will take advantage of these systems and corrupt them.

Capitalism uses human nature effectively.  Checks and balances are necessary in Capitalism to prevent excess.

I agree.

I'll take flawed capitalism over socialism any day.

We do need more transparency, competition, and real free markets.
