I mean, his ideas are going to have to be the way the world goes, AI, inequality and just the natural outcome of capitalism with immiserate more and more people and that can only go on for so long until something has to be done. Things have to change, most theorists argue we are in late stage capitalism, what comes after who knows, marx thought communism or some kind of socialism, accelerationists think a return to carmeralism, others suggest a techno-feudal state either way stuff like this is going to increase as it simply has to as the logical conclusion of wealth generation and technological advance.

That was near the fall of the USSR when the policies had been in effect for decades. Apartments had 2 families to a 1 bedroom apartment and women stood in line for hours to get food. I saw a documentary on this and it took place in the 70's. Maybe it was like that the whole time.
