affordability
« on: Today at 03:03:25 AM »
What are the thoughts on the socialist move to send out 2000 checks to middle and low income families by trump? dividends. I am sure he isn't lying of course, so is it a good plan to redistribute the wealth?

What about the 50 year mortgage? anyone happy with that??? ???

I think the $2,000 rebate is a bad idea. They should just pay off our debts instead.

As for 50-year mortgages, I don’t have strong feelings one way or the other. That’s a choice between the borrower and the bank. I know 15 and 30 year options already exist. What bothers me more is the broader pattern. Many people buy homes they can’t truly afford just to keep up with the Joneses. A longer mortgage only enables more debt. And I’m skeptical that a home is a good “investment,” and I say that as a homeowner.

I am not a fan of either, but if I can understand why folks in a different financial situation would feel differently.

I would view the 2k as a tax rebate for being over taxed, personally.  But others who don't pay as much taxes, it's just a gov't handout.  I think Trump has to move away from this stuff and pay down the debt.  Either way, he shouldn't say it until it's a go.

For the mortgage, it's hiding the growing problem of homes being too expensive for first time buyers.  Only way it can benefit would be to take one, but pay principal down faster if you can.  One of the big issues is contractors don't build starter homes much anymore, as it's not as lucrative.

Hahahahahhaahaha.

What about Trumpy's proposal for a universal healthcare system to be put in place?  All this winning sure seems like socialism for the MAGAtards.  But they keep quiet about it selectively.

Not a fan of the 50 year mortgage. Years ago I refied from a 30 to 15. As the $2k. It would be coming from Tariff revenue. That's not socialism.

They are a tax that WE pay for.

The 2 thousand dollar rebate is just a distraction to mask the overall poor job his administration is doing= instead of prices going down as he promised they have gone up. it's like I messed up here take this 2 grand  and shut the hell up and go back and sit in the corner. the  50 year mortgage plan is Ludacris as people will be like in the old song " I owe my soul to the company store". If you can't afford a 20 or 30 year mortgage you shouldn't be buying a house. When I bought my house back in 1978 interest rates were 10 and a half percent.  so on a loan of 32 k I would be paying 76 k over the 20 year period. I paid it off in 13 years thus saving a few bucks. :o :o :o :o the only thing I messed up with, I could have bought the lot next to my house for only 5 K

Dude,

there is no money for 2000 rebates, it's non-sensical. He is giving the money to farmers, for the golden dome, for paying down the debt for cheques. the whole amount is like 300billion for the year, do the math.

He is lying to drum up support like a psychopath.

$20 trillion In US investments is a direct result of the tariffs placed on overseas companies as incentives to bring their manufacturing to the US. I know you can't figure it out from here....but try.

What I find hilarious is that you morons bitch that tariffs might cause higher prices but will vote for people that have no concept of economics but will tax the living shit out of us on literally everything.

So now we have higher prices thanks to the tariffs and taxes remain the same how is this better, meanwhile trump struggles to sing god bless america.
