Always liked his build. From a purist standpoint Paris achieved close to physical perfection. It blows my mind hearing people say they'd prefer his "classic, aesthetic" physique over grotesque etc- ever see Paris standing next to a non bodybuilder?? Compared to someone who doesn't work out, he was from another planet!

For an ideal physique he was too short. Good as a bodybuilder, but only 5 ft 10 or 177.5 cm isn't exactly impressive. In many northern european countries that is a normal height for a woman.

I saw paris in seminar 6ft tall and more or less perfection. Alsop a lot bigger than you'd think.

Saw him in Mansfield same day as Bradford stadium fire, it was on the radio as we were driving down there

Bob Paris never stood a chance against Haney Labrada,Taylor, Mike Christian etc (all great lines and aesthetically pleasing from all angles)

And he never had to deal grotesque (Dorian post 1993) as he walked away out of top ten in last Haney showing .

However, Bob Paris 84 was better than Zane ,Columbu and Dickerson 76-82... that's a whole lot of Sandows right there. (Ronnie's voice and heavy breathing).

Almost every gym rat wanted to look like him.

Bob would have saved BB and make it a bit more marketable had he stayed in the closet for 20 more years '
