Homo sapiens clearly did not evolve to hang around for so long... for most of recorded history life expectancy at birth was around 30 years, notably started rising in England in the beginning of the 19th century to around 40, then around 60 by the mid 1950s. It seems striking to me that we can ponder questions such as age related strength decline that only became apparent when we started living longer.

I feel like I'm doing all right in terms of strength levels at this age, and think my lifts were decent when I was younger.But, I wish I had proper training knowledge back then......might have been able to put up some good numbers.
