I cannot stress enough how angry it makes me to see food talked about in "grams" as if it is ever that precise.  200g of whitefish, oh brother

For God's sake. Who cares if grams are used when weighing food? It is very precise and makes life easier when you're watching your diet.

What is so bad about weighing chicken or rice on a food scale in grams? It literally takes about 10 seconds out of your life to do so. You press the scale on, weigh your food on it in grams, and then shut off the scale. Or you can use ounces. Or not even weigh it at all. It's such a peaceful and positive procedure that it makes no sense to be opposed to it. It makes more sense than advocating for sugar free ketchup.

So let me ask you: if you're so against the common sense procedure of weighing food in grams, what's your opinion on standing on a scale to weigh yourself? How about dumbbells in the gym? They have weight shown on them. How about thermometers? They have measurements on them. Putting your food on a scale to weigh it in grams could be considered the same as weighing gold at a pawn shop. Do you have an objection to that?

Is it just weighing food in grams that you disagree with? Or do you have issues with other measurements? What about bakeries that need to be precise in weighing ingredients for baked goods? Are they in the wrong as well? Are they falling victim to your theory of scale grams for food being useless and impossible?

Food in grams is similar to the Flex Wheeler 0.0 bodyfat measurement (hat tip Jim Quinn).

When he dies I’d like someone to throw him on the scale so we can know how much he weighs in grams.

“ 275 { lbs} is approximately 124,737.90 { grams}”

It's just weighing food in grams, ounces is okay, but grams is too precise.  I'm generally against the metric system as it pertains to gym poundages or thong warriors, but i understand the variation with different countries and tolerate it as different strokes, but those goddamned grams just get to me.  Grams should be reserved for Test dosages or creatine
