Time will tell if the Venezuelans see any improvement in their lives. The US wants to steal their resources. Trump claims some of the money will go to Venezuelans to improve their situation. He's lied before. So this might be another one.

Trump knows this, which is why he ran on a platform of no more wars and argued that the U.S. should stop being the world’s police. Just look at his rallies, tweets, and speeches.

The U.S. military is spread thin, with bases all over the world. Look at what happened to the Roman Empire — or to Germany under Hitler. It didn’t end well, and it won’t end well for the United States either.

Now he wants to increase the military budget to $1.5 trillion. The dollar won’t remain the world’s reserve currency much longer — I can tell you that. Why would China or Japan be crazy enough to keep financing the U.S.’s reckless spending?

All politicians lie — sure. I don’t really care about that. What I expected was for Trump to rein in the spending that got the U.S. into this position in the first place. Interesting development ahead. US dollar is falling. Trump isolation of US will have further ramification on US economy which will also cause internal disruption. Outside world are moving away from US dollar, especially BRICS nations.

just saw on the news Merz wants to send German troops to Greenland ..as part of a NATO force, i´ve seen the German Army in their training & their so called Fallschirmjägertruppe ( Airborne, Paras) infact where i live i often saw them running in the woods as i myself was out running.
I will put it this way the British Army Infantry are fitter & would waste them no problem.

That number comes from what Maduro claimed back in August, 2025.  It must be true if Maduro claimed it, because communist dictators rarely lie.

Where were those 4 million militia when Maduro was captured?  Why was Maduro guarded by Cuban soldiers instead?

From what I've heard, and it could be inaccurate for all we know, there were about 100K militia in Venezuela at one point when Chavez was in charge.  However, approximately 8 million Venezuelans have fled their country since Maduro took over.  I seriously doubt that militia still exists today.

However, there are Colombian leftist guerrilla groups around the border who I'm sure would gladly fight the US in Venezuela.

When you cut the other sides communications, cut their electricity and grids while I'm assuming at the same time sending in drones and Blackhawks strikes taking out their military installations and nearby ports, then dropping in ground troops with NODS (2:01am) to take out Maduro's security around the compound then extracting Maduro and his wife within 2.5hrs isn't farfetched. But he didn't know if it was 20, 30 or whatever. He speculated. Maybe more, maybe less.

In the interview he said that the "sound wave" was launched. It obviously wasn't "launched" from the ground troops and since he said "at one point they launched something". What does "at one point mean"? Before DF hit the ground or after? We have that capability. We have weapons that we'll never even know about until it's used and even then we may never know. DF are by far the best trained operators on the planet with CIA Paramilitary being right up there
