China's much-hyped radars appear to have been of little help when the US launched its massive air assault against Venezuela

Venezuela's military had Chinese-made anti-aircraft radars available when the US launched a surprise air assault against the country to capture the country's now-former leader, Nicolás Maduro, earlier this month. They appear to have been of little help.

Operation Absolute Resolve involved over 150 US military aircraft, none of which were shot down. A helicopter was hit, reportedly by machine gun fire, but remained operational.

Venezuela has a number of China's JY-27A mobile radars, which Beijing has touted as top-of-the-line systems. It has said the radar can detect stealth assets, like the American F-22 and F-35, from over 150 miles away.

this is not 1990 anymore mate. Get with the times. Chinas economy has now surpassed USA's.

This notion that shit is made in China is no longer true. Even USA knows it as their companies puts manufacturing there, as does Europe. China is the manufacturing plant of the whole world.

And tech companies and EV companies has caught US and Europe by surprise. Like BYD, Honor, Huawei etc.

BYD just surpassed Tesla in EV sales.

Nope:

Top 5 Economies in the World

The United States’ GDP is the world’s largest, being worth over a quarter of global output in nominal GDP terms. Moreover, it has among the world’s highest GDP per capita. The economy’s structure is highly diversified. The tech industry, anchored by Silicon Valley, dominates globally, driving innovation in AI, biotech and software. The financial sector, centered in New York, boasts the world’s deepest capital markets. The United States Dominates Global Gold Holdings

The United States remains the world’s largest holder of gold by a wide margin, with 8,133.5 tonnes, a figure virtually unchanged for decades. Most of this gold is stored at Fort Knox and the New York Federal Reserve.

What’s Behind the U.S. Dollar’s Dominance and Why it Matters

The dollar’s strength is reinforced by several factors, including the size of the U.S. economy, the stability and transparency of U.S. government and economic institutions, and an independent central bank that credibly balances maximum employment and price stability.

The U.S. dollar is also the dominant currency for international trade, and assets held in dollars are seen as a superior store of value when countries face instability. Commodities such as oil, gold, and natural gas are priced and sold in dollars, even in transactions not involving the United States. El Salvador and Ecuador (and some other territories) have even adopted it as their official currency in a process called dollarization.

Countries also frequently borrow in U.S. dollars, enabling emerging market economies to access broader international lending pools. This reduces investor concerns about local currency risks and helps these countries secure financing at favorable terms, given the dollar’s stability and global acceptance.

The made In China is shit is still totally true, you can install quality control when you manufacture there but it needs to be there 100%

Their EV sales are up as they're cheap and they have gone to the next level post covid, dont get confused with sales growth and quality,  but the issues are now coming thick and fast with the cars. I hate EVs full stop but Tesla can't be compared to the BYD stuff. It's cheap and nasty and the cars battery depreciate so much quicker than Tesla, yes they give you ten year guarantees but try getting it honoured they already can't keep up with defected vehicles from a few years back let alone then huge amounts sold in the last two years. You're basically driving an iPhone, the batteries within 12-24 months charge slow and only to a low percentage. Meaning your getting g half the distance per charge.

Dont even go to Chinese building products, or steel unless it's manufactured by a western company there dont touch it. Chinese companies and made goods are still engineered below our standards.
