Most in the US don't know but their cooking can be smelled where ever they are. At least that's what I assume is what smells; the food smells stick to them and it's not pleasant. When I open my door I get a nice whiff every time.

I like some Indian food. Somali food I never tried but if it was any good it would be known by now with restaurants everywhere like there are Indian restaurants. It's a very distinct obnoxious smell, at least to us westerners. Some of those Indian Naan breads are like candy
