I have tried both making it myself, and buying it.

As well as in soup, or sipping.

The self made was a pain in the ass and tasted bad - need to run it through a cheesecloth to get rid of fat, etc.  The Kettle and Fire store bought stuff tastes good.

You can go the sip route, it's just drinking broth to get the supposed benefits of collagen protein and such.

My go to, which I like, takes 10 minutes to make, tastes great, and has 50-70 grams of protein depending on what you put in:

1 box kettle and fire beef bone broth (costco)
1 brick of lotus foods brown rice and millet ramen (costco)
1 handful of baby bella mushrooms
1 handful of bok choi / broccoli rabe, etc - any veg
meat of choice - generally pre-cooked grass fed sirloin (costco - which is nice becuase you just pour the soup over it), amylu chicken meatballs, elk burger, etc.....

Just cook on medium heat for 10 min....simple.

Occasionally will drop an egg in soup while it cooks last four minutes to poach it.

Hydrolyzed collagen is the same as bone broth basically except it's tasteless. I don't remember if I tried it but I'm sure it could be added to coffee with no change in taste.
There's been tracer studies done where they've, in one example I recall, given a dose, I think preferably like 15+ grams for best results, before rehab workouts and the collagen peptides have been incorporated into joint tissues, theoretically providing a benefit for worn out joints.

I haven't seen liquid protein rich bone broth in food stores here but online you can buy powdered bone broth. Stan Efferding poured bone broth over his rice saying it made the rice more moist and palatable or whatever.

Today I tried a second type of contraption in my quest for plastic free and pesticide free coffee.

To my bewilderment it actually worked in a straightforward manner and produced acceptable coffee. I am not sure  that I understand how it is supposed to work. You just stir the coffee in nearly boiling water, wait for a few  minutes and then push the coffee powder down. Not sure if I was supposed to stir it the entire time for maximal surface contact with the coffee molecules.

Anyway it did look nearly as dark as coffee is supposed to look and it wasn't bad at all

Don't you think it's a bit ridiculous to make such a mess on your stovetop? It is never appropriate to use your stovetop as a work surface.
