I have been wondering about this topic. It seems to me that most people's lives including my own may appear solid when looking at them superficially from the outside. But if you really think about it I feel that most people's lives are but a few small setbacks away from total collapse.

If you are Somali having eight children and living in Sweden for 10+ years (without even knowing or having the desire learning the language), you can sustain your lifestyle and getting even more money than some working Swedes.

That´s how it is in Sweden atm.

For me? No time or at least not that long. Although, if I cut back and lived a “normal” life I could probably retire now.

The Exact same can be said for the world we live in - Its thin ice were living on & getting thinner by the day.
Society would crumble very quickly without Say Electricity/ Fuel for 4-6 weeks there'd be pandemonium
Going on - People killing each other to eat & survive.
Why would most peoples lives be much different  - its a fragile balance.
