Hundreds of Somali owned businesses across the United States have announced plans to close on January 23rd as a form of protest against ongoing ICE deportations.

Organizers say the shutdown is meant to draw attention to how immigration enforcement affects families, workers, and local economies.

By closing for a full day, business owners aim to demonstrate their economic contribution and highlight the fear and instability deportations create within their communities.

The action is intended as a peaceful protest rather than a permanent closure

I think the percentage of somalis on government aid is like 60-70%. They don't teach their kids English. I am all for deporting the lot of them.
