I've been here talking about the primacy of genes for the longest time, though most people prefer to see people as being born as unwritten books, largely. It's just my current belief based on observation, but it's possibly open to change in the future...

Check out twin adoptee case studies, identical twins adopted to different families with different circumstances. Often scarily similar tastes and temperaments and etc. In a way this is a scary viewpoint, what if we are mostly just automatons, like dead puppets with our strings pulled by our genes, little or no free will.
