Weepy Old Man Syndrome

Oftentimes as they age (starting in the early 60s, but it varies) and the years take their toll and the end seems not so far away as it used to, previously strong men seem to go soft and turn into pussies.  Maybe they've achieved a comfortable life and feel guilty, maybe they are trying to make up for previous bad behavior, maybe they've lost touch with strong peers, but whatever the reason, it's sad to see.  (I don't think it's test related, as those levels begin the decline earlier.  I'm fascinated by this phenomenon and when it happens (I'd say at least 50% after 65) and why.

Glad so many here have not succumbed to this syndrome.  Lots of tough old bastards here.

My body held up pretty well up to age 55. By the time 60 hit my body has been in a faster decline for the last two years.

Do you still work out?

Yes! I even train people, both personal training and as a group trainer.

I train regularly (when im not injured, i injured both my shoulders few years ago and was out of commission for almost a year, and another time i injured my elbow and another time my back and was out for 6-7 months) just so i will able to be in decent shape (AND HEALTHY!) in my twilight years. I never smoke or use snus.

All these injuries happened in my later years,

Big difference these days compared to when i was in my 30s or even 40s.
Back then you felt invulnerable and rarely got injured, and when you did, you recuperated very quickly.

These days you have to be VERY careful and cautious.

I always assumed it was falling test levels, now that I’m aware of the chemistry behind it. I remember at church when I was little sometimes older men would cry talking about things and it always made me wonder why old men were babies.
