I agree with everything Hegseth is quoted on here. Europe depends far more on oil passing through the Strait than the US, so you’d think they’d be eager to help get it flowing again.

So if they aren't stepping up, is it because they’re weak? Or is something else going on?

I think they understand that Iran isn’t nearly the threat that the US and Israel make it out to be. They probably also see that the costs, both financial and military, aren’t worth it.

Eventually one side will either win or withdraw. Then oil will start moving again. In the meantime, I think they are content to sit back and let others waste their money and manpower on the conflict. I don’t blame them. I wish we had never gotten involved there in the first place.

Or maybe they're just weak. That could be true too  ;D

Its probably because they didn't start a needless war and now that Trump can't find an offramp he is trying to make it other peoples problem.

Not to mention he said help, we don't need help, youre weak, stay away, you should be protecting the straight, it's our blockade!

They see him a retard. You can't allow a retard to lead you around......

Absolutely. Plus they're busy fighting to show their people that the muzzies aren't destroying their country.

"Every announcement moved markets and every extension of a deadline crashed oil. Then escalation would push it back up and the cycle would repeat. This happened seven times in fifty-two days.

The structure of it was identical each time.

Escalated rhetoric from the president would push crude higher as traders priced in the risk of a supply disruption or a strike on Iranian energy infrastructure.

Then a deadline was set.
That deadline would be extended or a pause was announced.
Oil would crash, equities surge, and the cycle reset and the rhetoric escalated again.

Seven deadline cycles in fifty-two days, each producing a spike and a crash, and each producing a window in which the direction of the market was determined by a single variable that had nothing to do with supply or demand.

The variable was a presidential announcement and the announcement was known to a finite number of people before it was known to the public.

Thank you. It required detailed investigations on my part to come to that conclusion.

  • Dumb people think Trump is smart.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth:
“This should not be America’s fight alone,
We barely use the Strait of Hormuz. . . . [The Europeans] need the Strait of Hormuz much more than we do, and might want to start doing less talking and having fancy conferences in Europe and getting on a boat.”

He is completely wrong.  Because this shouldn't be America's fight at all.  Once again Israel is the only benefactor here.  Not America.  As has been reported, Israel approached prior presidents with the same plan and all rejected it.  Trumpy was just stupid enough to believe their bullshit.

Or offered him a chance to build a hotel there.

---
As of early 2026, there are no operational Trump-branded hotels in Israel, although the Trump Organization has actively sought to open one and is in ongoing negotiations for projects in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Tel Aviv Projects: Following the 2024 U.S. election, Eric Trump renewed negotiations to brand a 47-floor hotel currently under construction in the Sarona district of Tel Aviv.

Jerusalem Interest: The Trump Organization previously eyed the "Haleom Hotel" in Jerusalem, but these plans were paused following the October 7, 2023, attack, with officials stating it would be "tone-deaf" to proceed during the conflict.

Previous Deals: Earlier attempts in 2006 and 2016 for Trump projects in Israel were abandoned.

What's the endgame here? What is achieved?

Iran gets bombed, there will be a 'peace deal', and then they carry on with what they were doing before.

Most likely a smokescreen for Israel attacking Lebanon.

And the entire world gets to pay for it. Nice.

Speaking to some Thai's recently, sounds like they're reciting speeches from the Third Reich.

And probably belonged to the Mossad which would make Trump a slave to Bibi.
