I totally know the feeling.
I too couldn’t get in to that high, running just feels awkward!
But I still try to little of it. Smaller distances with higher effort, or if you have a track or similar then HIIT type running, hill sprints or stair running.
To me these are all almost ” red line ” cardio. But I think its ok since there isn’t much of it and then I do less streneous cardio in the gym watching asses 😊
