Thurman / Fundora
« on: March 27, 2026, 11:06:42 AM »
Who ya` got ???

As much as I like Thurman,I think Fundora will KO him in the mid to later rounds........the kid`s a fucking beast.

Thurman has to use his feet to avoid the long reach, uppercuts, and vicious bodyshots Fundora throws.

The fight is tomorrow......thoughts ?

Little fellas or real men?

The one guy Fundora is unlike other fighters at his weight class being over 6 foot 5 inches tall.

This fight is on PPV so I won’t be watching it.

I’ve seen Fundora fight before and I haven’t seen anyone who could hang with him yet.

Back in 2016 Thurman beat Porter and Danny Garcia and IMO was near the top of the lb4lb list. Its hard to find someone who has mismanaged their career as bad as he has. Long stretches of inactivity, struggling with people he should've beaten easily, losing to Pacquiao etc...

Its an interesting fight stylistically,  Thurman can adapt well to any style, he's always had good power even though he's more of a boxer than a puncher. Meanwhile Fondura doesn't use his height/reach to his advantage. He's an inside fighter and a slugger.

Im rooting for Fondura. KEEF had his chance and he pissed it away. Plus Thurman always refers to himself in the 3rd person, its one of the most annoying qualities a person can have. Im going to pick Fondura by stoppage in the mid to late rounds. I expect it to be a very entertaining fight either way it goes.

He has. And in his prime he wouldvs handled Fondura. His style would've been the perfect fit to catch Fondura the way Mendoza did.

Now, I don't think all his inactivity is due to injury, he's had 5 fights in 10 years and Im not sure all the injuries were legit or ploys to stay free for bigger paydays.

But either way, even at his best he would've relied on movement that his legs can't sustain at 37 years old, he hasn't retained his power,  and he's had a lot of injuries- even if some of them were just excuses, if they were ALL bona fide injuries its even more of a reason to pick Fondura. Age, inactivity, injuries and loss of power all points to a long night for Keith.

I used to be a big fan of Thurman but I think his time has passed by and he spent his best years on the sidelines. Its frustrating to watch a guy with his skills waste his best years, whether due to injuries or mismanagement.

Come to thi k of it, he's like the levrone of boxing, a talented oddball, and like levrones comeback,  this probably won't end well either.

I agree, still it should be very interesting...........I got Fundora via KO,but I`d like to see Keith upset him which realistically just  ain`t gonna` happen.

Holy shit! You see Itauma knock out Franklin?

Itauma, Wardley and Kabayel, look like they are the future of the heavyweights. Franklin went the distance with Joshua and Dillian Whyte. Probably 2 of the hardest heavyweight punchers in the game. Itauma is only 21. If he stays disciplined he can be the Heavyweight champ. He has an amateur pedigree that Wardley doesn't have and he has youth on Kabayel.

Well... Thundera absolutely whupped Furman.

Its going to be hard to miss a guy who was as inactive as Keef.

It doesn't matter to me but he's a guy who will look back one day and wonder what could've been. Now its over and there's no going back. I don't get what these fighters are thinking these days. Prime of their lives and they fight once a year. Maybe once every other year.

Itauma crushed Franklin, and Keith got pummeled.

I was sorry to see Brian Mendoza lose......I like the kid.

A good day/night of boxing.

Fuck Thurman. Along with Haymon, Floyd and the entire roster at PBC with the exception of Shawn Porter. They all contributed to the demise of boxing. By only fighting in house fighters. Once they left HBO everyone of them either got worse or at best stopped getting better. Pussies.

Itauma looked good though has to be said Franklin was a shell of his former self.
From the opening bell it was just a matter of when he'd get sparked out.

This x 1000

PBC also ushered in the era of FLAGRANTLY BIASED COMMENTARY. The real time gaslighting was nothing short of insulting and not a little corrupt. Commentary always favored the house fighter but PBC took it to a whole new level.

Fucking couldn't stand PBC. Take Spence for example, he regressed badly under PBC. He had other issues with his car crash and weed smoking but at some point people were talking about him as one of the best in the sport. LOL. He was a champion who hadn't fought anyone in the top 10 in years. PBC may have been one of the single worst things to happen to pro boxing in the history of the sport.

QFT..............that "other side of the" street BS proved they didn`t want no part of   Crawford and others, then they had the balls to say Crawfords resume`wasn`t that good.

They protected their perfect records at any cost....aka as ducking the smoke !!

A great example was Wilder....he couldn`t box produce!!

No one knows his first 30 - 35 opponents or so........except the fat slouch Stiverne and old ass Ortiz ......then Fury fucked him up and he was exposed.

Dominic Brazeale give me a fucking break.....ha ha ha ha ha.   ;D

He bulks up to 160 in the off-season.
