From what I've been able to find regarding cadmium plating (excellent corrosion resistance), you should wash your hands after handling the bar. Also avoid touching your face during use.
This would be particularly wise if the bar has any discoloration or corrosion which could indicate the cadmium could transfer to your hands.
You could also wear gloves.
Most likely the cadmium content used in the plating of the bar is very small.
