Kind of. You could argue it's more literal and academic now. A 'kind of pig-like creature' is a little more fun and helps to craft the image of a fat sack of shit sleeping in an old BMW as opposed to an actual pig/man hybrid. As to Van's point, have fun with it. Probably not worth losing sleep over.
every time someone says it its like a slap in the fcae to me, it jumps out of what they are saying.
Even when used in where you would think it was required its still not
A chipolata is a kind of sausage
A chipolate is a sausage
see, still not needed... its now used like a filler terminolgy of people who are fucking pretentious
I hear it used where people say "there was kind of 4 of us" , really, were there 5 or 3 of you or was it actually four, using the term "there were about 4 of us" is a more acceptable phrase to use but for me I need a number, not a fucking estimate
There is a guy on the radio here in the UK and he says "kind of" every other sentence, he also seems to have guests on who say it as well and they get into a "kind of" battler it seems trying to out do each other.
