"Faster comeback"? How can a non-competitive athlete make a comeback? I'm not too sure what the question is

If we're talking about "muscle memory" then of course it's still there. I'm nearly 50 and I've yo-yo'ed a lot due to getting sick repeatedly these past years and it comes back very fast. Just now I did one set of wrist curls after getting out of hospital and there's already a big difference 3 days later.

I had no veins and then 3 days later nurse says your veins are so big, but that's just hydration and such but I think the one set caused them to come out more.
