BTW the biggest myth is there is some clearly defined  right and left wing in the USA. Those terms came from the sides of the aisle in the US Congress. it's a very arbitrary designation meant to keep the citizens at each others throats.

I am "right wing" on certain issues - limited government spending, border control, strong national defense, protection of children, etc.

I am "left wing" on other issues- Socially liberal in many ways, for strong environmental protection, I'm against the draft, etc.

A lot of people are like me- having a variety of stances . But that doesn't play well in politics because to retain control each side creates monsters out of the other side.
