Fort Hood shooter's execution will be livestreamed, Pentagon says

The public will be able to watch the execution of a former US Army major by firing squad, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has said.
An official from the Defense Department told the BBC the execution of Nidal Hasan, who fatally shot 13 unarmed US soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009, would be livestreamed.
The Pentagon had announced earlier this week that it would execute Hasan in the first military execution in more than 60 years.

It’s interesting to how desensitized we have become to so many issues (Epstein files, homelessness, sexual issues, GTA games) but the public execution of a murderer is taboo.

It’s crazy these were normal throughout history.

I don't care either way, kill him the traditional way with a handful of witnesses or kill him on livestream. Same difference. My main annoyance is with the theatrics of it all. This is another thing tossed out to keep the news and our thoughts away from the stagnation of the War.

Where are public execution still done? In Islamic countries and it's always mentioned as an example of how sick and evil they are.

Countries that have public executions:

Somalia

Afghanistan

Iran

North Korea

Now add U.S.A. to the list.

Death penalty is one thing but livestreaming it on the internet is something else. Make an Islamic martyr of this guy. Have little kids watch it, which they will.

2. Murdered 13, wounded more than 30 on a Federal military base (Fort Hood) and yelled "Allahu Akbar" during the attack.

3. He was waging jihad to protect the Taliban....as a US Soldier on a US Military (in case you didn't get it) - see #1

4. We haven't had a military firing squad execution in since WWII. It should be live-streamed to show Radical Islam what's in store for them.

5. The difference between us and a third world country is that they do this every fucking day...in a public square.

6. Don't like, don't watch it. I'm quite sure this won't be broadcasted on network or cable TV but through specific livestream platforms.

Phil Donahue said he was against them and still wanted it televised.
