2027 Olympia Weekend - Discussion and Info
« on: October 19, 2026, 09:23:12 PM »
With the 2026 Olympia over, one looks forward to next year's rumors...

There has been thoughts as to move the host hotel to the 'Westgate Las Vegas Resorts', which has close to 3,000 rooms, while also moving the expo from the South Hall to the North Hall Convention Center Las Vegas. The Westlake might be older, but it has a ton of room to do quite a few event, including 'Meet The Olympians' and more.  This way, the host hotel and expo will be close to each other, about a 10 minute walk.

But where will be main Olympia final event be if this occurs?

Westgate originally was the Las Vegas Hilton.  It was famous for being Elvis Presley‘s hotel where he performed and hung out.

Elvis did over 700 shows there at this hotel, and they have a statue dedicated to him in 1978.  But for the Mr. Olympia, a new statue of Elvis with muscles will come to fruition, as seen below.

The 2027 Olympia should be held at the Venetian.

Having an over-the-top Elvis impersonator as the MC would be a wise idea. And no, not Bob in an Elvis costume. A real Elvis impersonator. Or a bodybuilder, like Brent Swensen, who could dress as Elvis and host the press conference and night show.

They should change the pre-judging and instead of posing on a stage, it should be replaced with a charity race on the Las Vegas Strip. The bodybuilders would have sponsors that would pledge money towards a charity cause. Depending on how well the bodybuilders place in the race, their race placings would award them points for the final night show. If they don't do well during the race or if they couldn't finish the race, then that would lower their scores for the final night show.

He's perfect for the job. Imagine the Elvis MC host posing at the expo with all the fans and bodybuilders.

American Trilogy would be the closing song after the Olympia 1st place winner got announced and the night ended as the audience was clapping and leaving.
Or it could be played over a slow mo tribute video to all the past Olympia winners before the night show began. Then as the tribute video ended, the Elvis mc host would walk onto the stage, and the Olympia night show would start.
