If electricity goes down for a few days it would already be an apocalypse.
Losing electricity for just an hour or two is incredibly annoying. Losing it for days or weeks would have many people suicidal.

I'm sure if there's that however unlikely situation. Tim Kennedy reportedly had his on for 5 hours waiting for evac and that is dangerous in itself they inform me. It kills tissue due to loss of oxygenation and then when you finally release it toxins flood your system and you can go into shock.

The billionaires will have full hospitals in their bunkers, operating rooms and everything :D

I'll be doing some "Kaatsu" training on my arm when I get the go ahead to start rehabbing. A sort of torniquet. I've done it, very nice pump with low weights.

I'm no doctor but I've been told 2-3 hours is relatively safe to keep one on while seeking medical attention. I haven't followed the Kennedy stuff.

Yeah I have no idea either. Just saw some SF guys, including SF medics talking about Tim Kennedy, and the timeline of how long it took to evacuate him. He was ambushed and I think 15-20 guys on his side died.

This is allegedly his femur x-ray. It's interesting to me what kind of recovery he can make. He's an elite athlete but he's also about 50 I think so we'll see. They were talking like there's a big chance the leg has to be amputated. Maybe even not immediately, way down the road it could happen, apparently some opt for amputation because it seems to best solution, maybe shorter and easier, less painful recovery. BB related: Flex Wheeler himself opted to have his leg amputated due to intractable pain.

Coach has probably heard a lot of gossip about all this. I just watched some pods.

Losing electricity for just an hour or two is incredibly annoying. Losing it for days or weeks would have many people suicidal.

Water and sewerage pumps could stop, fuel pumps will stop, credit cards won't work, ATM's won't work, mobile phone batteries will run out, mobile signals will go down, no internet, can't use computers, food would rot in fridges.

Some people or businesses might have reserve batteries, generators or solar but these are limited and not designed for more than a few days really, especially if no fuel for generators.

If it's a small area it shouldn't last long, but if it's a national grid collapse or it's over massive areas? It would probably take some time for emergency services to coordinate and handle the situation.

It's basically a zombie apocalypse.

It does. "For legal reasons." I think these were stolen or something, you can't disclose someone's personal medical information. That's how I understand it, a shitty thing to do by whoever leaked it :-\ A SF guy put the pic online, I think Aaron Love.

They said you can't fix that in one go. First stabilize so those sharp bones don't damage the tissues and then go from there. I think he was shot in the foot and trapezius as well. But he's alive so it could have been worse. They talked about vets who had leg prostheses and were back quickly as instructors, some even out in the field.

I don't watch Swedish news since I become so enraged with all the bullshit. So I saw on an American podcast what Swedish authorities recommend as far as emergency supplies LOLOL :D 7 days worth they say. I think over 30 countries are broadcasting this same message just now.

I should get to it. If electricity goes, does the plumbing system work or do I have to go shit in the woods? Toilet paper was important when Covid hit :D

Water, canned foods, cash, whatever medications one depends on. They said a radio as well.

One thing people forget is also having some entertainment.

If electricity is gone and it's 6 pm and you have no battery pack, need to preserve your phone battery and computer battery, need to preserve the battery of your lights, then you basically just have to go to sleep. There is nothing to do.

Another thing is a small camping gas cooker, with extra cannisters, or there will be no hot food or coffee.

Plumbing is still fine, but sewerage could start blocking up. And if water purification plants are effected, who knows what quality of water is going through the taps.

I have a small solar generator I take camping with me. It lasts all week charging phones, tablets, games, lights, etc and still ends up around 60-70% without having to recharge at all.  With the correct solar generator set up you can have electricity indefinitely. Hot food/coffee? Water purification? Ever heard of fire?

could you repair the "small solar generator" if it is defect..would you have the knowledge & in an emergency the spare parts which would be possibly not available quickly.
also boiling water will not purify water 100% & .. you needs tablets

Yes, we're talking about cities and apartments here too. The vast majority of people will be unprepared. They haven't thought of these things. Solar also has issues and depends on weather as well, and if you have to power a fridge or freezer, or computer, it uses considerably more power. There are also days the batteries might be too low or have no power.

They're designed for several hours of outages, but constant 24 hours over a prolonged period of weeks or months, is going to need a lot of batteries and roof panels. And even then you have to be quite careful with managing those batteries from a reliability standpoint.

And also probably not a good idea to make a fire in a building not designed for that. Portable camping gas stoves are much more convenient.

Why would you have a defective generator? You don't have tablets? PM me your address and I'll ship you some of mine.

100%, we can see that in the people posting here.

Don't underestimate the newer solar generator set ups. You should look into some whole house solar generators to get an idea what they are capable of. Also with no power in stores, how long do you think you would need a fridge? Meat/dairy would spoil before you could out use the generator. Computers/phones would be for games and documentation if any sort of grid went down. No internet.

And also probably not a good idea to make a fire in a building not designed for that. Portable camping gas stoves are much more convenient.
I don't live in an apartment, but I would agree for the most part. Any sort of sterno type stove would be better than nothing to provide heat and if you were prepared properly, you could possible set up some sort of small fireplace type stove. Like for a hot tent. ;)

People worry about nukes, but an EMP attack?

It could cause power-grid failures across an entire country, stopping all electricity, and who knows how long that would take to resolve?

Weeks or months just to fix the circuits. And even then, more months to restore electricity.

So it could be months without any electricity at all for the vast majority of areas and population.

No fuel pumps working, no fridges, no mobile connection, huge gridlocks of cars, some might fail, trains not working or crashing, airport chaos, payment systems down. And that's just the beginning.

Some vanadyl sulfate tabs and full body workouts on days 1 and 3 should get most through the three days unharmed.

Some Americans are a little bit worried about devastating Iranian cyber attacks. There have already been probing attacks blamed on Iran. One fella claims he was at the Mexico border during Biden and claims he saw a bunch of Iranians coming in; they could have sleeper cells in the US. If anything happens on the mainland, if there are cyber or other attacks it would be hard for regular folks to know who really was responsible. Everyone seems to believe there is such a thing as false flags. The Ayatollah did say just now that if they are attacked they have removed any geographical limits which they had previously, so who knows. Obviously they don't want to get nuked so they'd think twice but if it turns truly existential for them who can tell.

I've read everything you've written in the threads I saw you in. AFAIK there haven't been any confirmed attempted Iranian terrorist attacks on the US. There have been various allegations and suspicions but the Shia aren't really into terrorism, it's more of a Sunni thing. You probably won't believe it but I think the Iranians haven't really attempted to cause mass US service men casualty attacks in the ME either so far. I doubt they would try any terrorist attacks against US civilians the first thing they do, maybe something cyber. They will probably widen attacks to for example US data centers in the Gulf, perhaps even severing those undersea cables. But we will see.

I don't know how much protection hand guns would offer against terrorism or if energy systems were attacked. Would maybe offer some protection against gangs taking advantage of the situation.

Israel says Iran is trying to kill Trump. But of course Israel says that.

By all accounts there have been sleeper cells and no go zones in the US for a long ass time. I remember seeing an investigation right after 9/11 where the reporter rolled up on a compound out in the middle of the desert and was chased away.
Why haven't they been activated? Only allah knows.

We've had plenty of Islamic attacks on our soil by converts and proxies for decades. We have confirmed terror cells and operatives all around this country. In our area LE terrorism task forces are well aware of it.
