So, they recently moved the equipment around in my gym and as a result, there is now a corner area which has the fixed-weight barbells (from 15 lbs to 50 lbs) and dumbells going from 2 lbs to 25 lbs, along with a couple of benches and swiss balls. The management probably thought that the girls (it's a university gym) would stick to that area due to the light weights and all, but boy were they wrong !
The majority of the people who work out in that area are guys and they are just plain animals!!!! These guys all seem to weigh around the 140 lbs mark and commonly train in packs of 3. They wear the mandatory IPOD on the (11 inch) arm-band

, have gelled up hair and never break a sweat. They do their whole routine in that area. A routine usually consists of:
BB curl - 25 lbs -> 8 - 10 reps (failure)
Lunges - 15 lbs -> 6 - 8 reps (stopping above parallel, of course

)
Swiss ball crunches - 8 reps
Shadow boxing and / or skipping for 2 - 3 mins
1 arm reverse cable pushdowns with 10 - 12 lbs for 6 reps, with one guy holding the other guys arm, after which he stretches out the guy's arm

to recover from the brutal set, in a very gay, disturbing way.
As a result, I have decided to call that section of the gym THE FERAL PIT / ANIMAL SHELTER ! And before any of you bitches give me grief about not focusing on my workout and staring at these things instead, I just wish to say that this post is the result of my cumulative mini-observations over a span of 2 - 3 weeks. I was just scouting for some material to talk about on Getbig and hence this post. So, any of you guys have any funny / brutal anecdotes about Feral pits from your gyms? Let the stories unfold
