Exerpt from Muscle Gayhem Interview with Mo El-pectearo
Being a young athlete with a lot of potential, how do you handle your ego?
How would you describe the difference in being "cocky or arrogant" and being confident?
I often come off as just a little cocky because of my confidence. In everything I do, I grab it by the horns and take charge. I had the best physique in high school (won the Mr. Matawan), I have the best physique in my gym, I have one of the best physiques in Jersey, and I feel with more work I can have one of the best physiques in the world.
That's just me... call me arrogant if you want, but I just have that "I can do this if I want to" attitude. Always have. Otherwise, I have no ego. I've been on top of my "little castle" for too long to care what people think. When I was younger, yeah, I always felt like I had something to prove. Now, I just cruise and have a good time without bothering anyone and without letting anyone bother me... If there was one thing to describe my training, I would say “passionate.”
What do you wish to accomplish in bodybuilding?
What would you like to be remembered for?
I would like to make it to the Olympia stage and have fun with bodybuilding as long as possible. Once it starts to get boring and I'm not exactly bodybuilder material anymore, I'll stop and pursue my other goals further. As a bodybuilder I would like to be remembered for my lines and density.
