I used to really care about the sport and admired the champs. I still have a few guys like Jay Cutler, Darrem and even Chic, etc, that I respect as human beings. To be honest, I think the sport left me about 10 years ago. No big deal, any others here relate?

Do you go to the gym at 4:30 am with a gallon jug of water in your hand and a bandana on your head? ;D

Ok, thanks for the clarification. As a sport I'm not really involved, but as a personal hobby I live, eat, and sleep bodybuilding. I can't wait to go lift. I think about my workouts at work and don't feel great until I've hit muscle failure. When I don’t workout for a few days I feel like complete shit. When I start getting pissy my wife will say “Why don’t you go work out” or “Are you hungry?”

As soon as I walk in the door from working out my wife will know what kind of workout I had, just by how I look. If I was able to crush some weight, I will come in all happy and shit. After legs she knows I might be getting sick and throwing up, she hates when I do legs.

I work out evenings, normally get to the gym about 6:30-7:00. I just get a way better workout after a full day of eating. On the weekends I workout earlier cause my gym closes at 5.
I am in charge of my own post workout shake but she always has some food waiting for me. She is a very good woman.

What about you?

About the same. Last show I went to was the 99 Olympia. When Shawn,Flex,Dillet and Levrone dropped that was it. The current crop does not impress me at all. And Ronnie is looking OLD.

In my personal life I'm still just as dedicated. I'm one of those guys who will be banging the weights until I am physically unable to. I make no concession to age, I still train heavy and keep putting on quality size. Even though I'm a cripple for two days after deads or squats ;D

Yep, she lays the syringe right next to the chicken she baked for me. Sometimes I use it as gravy.

workout around 12pm, before lunch.....like to spend the day feeding the muscles, tapering off towards bed.....i stay leaner that way

marriage aint in the cards for me for another few years, but my last long term girlfriend was the same way....

sundays didnt get much better than

1) Having a sick workout

2) Coming home and railing a fine piece of ass while flexing in the mirror Patrick Bateman style

3) Eating a well prepared meal

4) Taking a nice hot shower

5) Posting up in bed with a cocktail and/or ambien and watching some Southpark, Family Guy, Sopranos or, season-willing, a sunday night football game
its comin today

bodybuilding is not a sport it is a competition and a competition is judged and the IFBB judges fuck up to the point where the fans turn it in to a personal hobby myself included wanted to be a BB since i was 5 (first time to se a arnold movie) but after seeing the curent placings i never plan on competing again and now i just train for personal satisfaction

I've cared about it less and less about bodybuilding in the last year or so. I reckon I've taken it as far as a can, and that includes taking gear. I've quit mainly for financial reasons as my food and drug bill was getting out of hand. I've never actually competed in a contest and it would have been nice to see how well I would have done but there comes a time in your life when the size of your bank balance is more important than the size of your biceps. I never thought I'd say that. I've been training for thirteen years (I'm 28) and had attained a bodyweight of 247lbs at my heaviest with 19.5 inch arms. I'm now down to 220lbs but I haven't trained in a couple of months. Maybe I'll go back to it one day in the future. Right now I've got a mortgage to pay and a wife to look after. No kids yet (don't know if I want them) but I want a decent life and I've come to the conclusion I'll never make any money from bodybuilding that's for sure.
