Belding took it a little too far. Why do you think he was balding?

When an aspiring pro starts to gain size, it would become clear at some point of their size increase that there are some genetic setbacks regarding muscle tie-ins and joint structure that would make it difficult to create an aesthetic and symmetrical physique that would score well with judges. (eg: Kamali, Freeman, Heiko).

If this is the case, why bother waisting all that time and money trying to make a 'career' out of bodybuilding, if its clear that no amount of training will cover up these flaws?

That's a great question and maybe it is at the heart of the size game. Perhaps most bodybuilders simply think that they can grow large enough to minimize all of their flaws. It doesn't happen :-\

His build is exactly like Derek Anthony's in this pic, uncanny.

I believe in davidpaul.

Usually doesn't bullshit.

From the pics one thing is painfully obvious...

Shahriar is getting owned by women and old farts in the forearm department.

Stick forearms?

Stick forearms.

Monster forearm genetics. The odds for him to use bracelets for props again seems... yeah.

Other than that, pretty puffy-lookin.

But damn...

Monster forearms.

The biceps do look much improved! Very full looking, even when his arm is extended.

King Kamali - returning to competition after 14 months
« Reply #72 on: May 17, 2006, 10:18:30 PM »
His record from last year:

Arnold Classic - IFBB, 11th
Ironman Pro Invitational - IFBB, 5th
San Francisco Pro Invitational - IFBB, 12th

Kamali has one 3rd and two 4th place finishes in his career.  The rest were lower.
He is by all accounts the leanest he's ever been.  Good for conditioning but possibly bad with his thin arms.

So lock it in now- what is your prediction for King's finish at the 2006 NY Pro?

240: 3rd place.

As I have said since January, King will place in the top three at the New York Pro. The bet with Shawn stays for the CHOC Foundation.

Now you have Phil Health, Darrem Charles, Dennis James, Toney Freeman and a multitude of other surprises perhaps that might twist the results...
