I'm noticing more and more, pro's using the workout gloves with the wrist straps. Guys like Coleman, Cutler, Quincey and a few others. Is there a bit of an advandage in wearing them? Anybody tried them, that can comment?

Are you kidding? Workout gloves multiply your normal strength. W/out gloves I'm deadlifting like 23lbs. With gloves I'm up to 438lbs. Think about that!

They wear them cause they are paid to.

They are endorsers of said gloves. Personally, I could care less for gloves. If you are worried about pretty hands, than you should not be working out at any place other than Curves.

Unless you are a hand male model, you should not need them. Women, I can understand, but men, real men.....

Wow, your really funny. You must be a card to hang out with. That's a big jump from deadlifting 43lbs with gloves. I just noticed that alot of them are starting to wear a certain type of workout glove. I don't remember who said it, but some pro said it helped him lift a little heavier. Not sure if Ronnie said that.

You know what the best gloves are? Oven Mitts! Cut some finger holes in them, and you're ready to break new barriers.

Pfffff, no! I customized mine. One's red, one's blue; Punky Brewster style. Then I have leather tassels, and some gold sequins. When people see those gloves they know that the gym floor is about to shake and bars will bend.

LOL, that's pretty much what I was gonna say. I had a pair of "Lee Haney" gloves in the 80's. I thought workout gloves went out with leg warmers and those Michael Jackson jackets.

I don't know if that's totally true Gord. In all honesty, my old workout partner was a tough son of a bitch. He was deadlifting so much one day that he tore into his hands, and blood went everywhere. Now I'm not that strong, but most of the pros are. So, why wouldn't they wear gloves?

Yep, if a girl complains about a guy's hands being rough then she's obviously into girlie men (which some women are, it takes all kinds).

Ergo, if your girlfriend is complaining that your hands are too rough, be advised that you are a girlie man, or at least she expects you to be one and that's what attracted her to you in the first place.

I totally agree, women read romance novels about rough hands running over them. That dude's women must play fast-pitch softball.
